Insurance
Insurance plans and coverage are becoming increasingly complex and confusing. We want to make sure that before you are seen as a patient at Women’s Wellness Center (WWC) that we are a participating provider with your insurance plan.
While we participate with most local and many national commercial insurance plans, it is your responsibility to confirm that WWC is a participating provider. You should also confirm that your insurance does not have any limits on the providers you can see, or the services you can receive. Plans we do not accept include, but are not limited to, all Aetna plans, BMC Healthnet/Connector, Fallon, Medicare and all Medicare advantage plans, Medicaid, and Tufts Public/Network Health (we do take Tuft commercial plans).
The best way to determine coverage is for you to contact the Member Services department of your insurance company (the number is listed on the back of your insurance card). Ultimately, it is the patient’s responsibility to determine their benefits and coverage before seeking care. WWC will submit to all commercial insurances as a courtesy, but we cannot guarantee insurance coverage or benefits. Also, depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for co-payments, co-insurance, or other deductible amounts.
Please keep in mind that you will likely need to obtain a referral from your primary care provider if you have an HMO or POS insurance plan. If a referral is not obtained prior to your appointment, we may need to cancel your appointment, and reschedule it when your referral is in place.
Feel free to contact our office if you have any questions.
